It's a Cooker

Good Clean fun at mother's play group

Shot taken while washing the car, to get into the festive mood. Carson and his best bud, Jexton, after swim lessons

Swimming lessons come to an end tomorrow. Now after two weeks, Carson is now just getting tired of it. He is a very energetic little boy. We live in a small enough town that he actually rode his trike to lessons which is two miles both ways. It sure makes for a long walk, but he enjoys it. Carl and I have been playing on a softball team together for the past 2 months. Its been fun to be together, but it's kinda sad that we've only won 2 games. I never played growing up, so I am less than okay, Carl, on the other hand, is the best player on our team. He is a monkey in the out field catching all the flys. It's been good fun to hang out with friends and take a break from kids for an hour or so.

Today I took the kids to the outdoor swimming pool with some friends. It was Cami's first time swimming and she loved it. She was in the water for half an hour straight and just smiled and kicked her legs. Meanwhile, Carson is getting better and a little more confident, but I pushed him pretty hard today, telling him he couldn't get in until he jumped in from the side. Once he got the hang of it he had a blast, but I guess I can be pretty pushy. It was fun times!!

Still working on it

Well, I've finally found out how to put pictures in my posts and now trying to find out how to add friends. I will be better, soon, I hope. I will finally be commenting back, eventually!!! :)

Just Hanging around

Today was a great day to just regroup and be with the fam! We are getting so excited to see our families at reunions. We will be in Yellowstone over the 4th with my family and then a week later Lake Cascade with Carl's.

Summer and All that comes with it

(Carson is the one in the orange shorts)

Well here we go with summer, finally! I have been perfectly fine with the cooler weather, but it is finally starting to act like summer with the 90 degree weather. We debated on weather or not to put Carson in

swimming lessons, but I am so glad we did! He may be about a year younger than the rest of the class, but he loves it! I never see him without a smile. There has been a couple of issues, whenever in line he can't seem to keep his hands to himself, they are always around someone's waist, girl or boy. He is a very affectionate boy!

One time in line an older gal saw his swim diaper sticking out and kinda made fun of him saying, "You still wear diapers" and Carson just was so excited she was talking to him and just smiled and said, "Yeah, that's my diaper." His friend Jexton, a little older and potty trained said, "Mom, I don't wear diapers!" It was just too funny! Hopefully he will feel embarrased and want to wear big boy underwear sometime.

Saturday we got a lot accomplished, which doesn't always happen. We had a big tree just above our garden so it wasn't getting the sunlight that it needed so we decided it had to go. We got an estimate for $280 just to drop it, so Carl decided he would do it himself. He called up some buddies and was able to get it down with really no problems in a couple hours. I am so glad. Today Carl went out and replanted some things that weren't growing so well. Meanwhile, the gals and I put on a yard sale and got rid of a lot of JUNK!!! I took up about a truck full and came home with one box. I was very happy!!! It feels good to clean out all the stuff we don't use.
