Come On In and Check Out What's NEW

For those who know me, I am a huge yard sale fanatic! I would go every saturday morning at 7 AM if I wasn't out of town or married to my husband. Needless to say, he isn't extatic about me leaving on the only morning that he gets to sleep in, but he doesn't really complain about my awesome finds. This last Saturday I found almost new couches that were actually in our budget. I am so happy with them! We got the two black ones for $200 plus our old YUCKY couch, the green one for $40, the antique box for $10 and the entertainment center for free. I just know that we are being blessed for trying to live within our means. I honestly, wanted to get all new furniture when we first moved here a year ago, but I am so glad we held out for as long as we did. We probably saved more than 1500 if I were to buy it all new. Carl was hesitant, but I was determined! YEAH!

Carl says that the tv stand makes our TV look smaller than it is, so that should be our next purchase. If it's not one thing it's another!

Carson helped me paint a new book shelf that we saw in our neighbors yard that they didn't want anymore, So :) you guessed it.

Rupp Reunion at Lake Cascade

Man, sometimes it is just too much fun to get the camera out when you are camping in the great out doors. That and I didn't want to get my camera ruined on the lake. Needless to say, I didn't get many pictures of all the fun things we did and I am bummed! We had some good times though. Water skiing has become one of my favorite pastimes! I was so pumped that I got up on one ski after a few tries ;) and Carl had to try out the new boogi board and finally got up! Besides water skiing we enjoyed playing volleyball, getting caught up in people's lives, and basking in the great out doors. We have got a new determination to go camping as our family and do the things that we grew up doing with our kids.

Here is Shaylee and Carson enjoying the bike riding part of camping. Shaylee of course enjoying the "catching a ride" part of it.
After the reunion we had the opportunity to head up to Kamiah and spend a few days on the farm. Carson is hilarious with Grandma and "his cow" name of course "COW" He has been feeding Cow for quite a while now. No other cows will come eat his grain that he brings out in the bucket but Cow will come right up to him every time and follow him around til he leaves. Carson loves doing this with Grandma at least once or twice a day while we are there.

Hanging out with all the HAY

Of course one of our favorite things to do is go 4wheeling all over the land. We just can't get enough of it!

We had to get some pictures with Grandpa's new pride and joy, his new tractor.

One of my favorite reasons to be on the farm, other than to see Grandma and Grandpa, is to see Carl so happy and relaxed. He loves to work with his dad and see all the fun things he has done with the farm. I know someday Carl would like to own his own farm and make all the decisions himself. He really looks up to his dad and I know how learned so much from him. I love Carl and love to see him in his element. It makes me gitty for all over again!

Carson's New Big Boy Bed

We have been so blessed. Carson has been ready for a big boy bed for a while, but we just couldn't afford it. Julie stumbled upon this single bunk bed with a desk and chair for underneath it for only $30. I knew Carson would not go for the sleeping so high in the air so I thought we could just flip it. So I talked them down to $25 including the mattress and now Carson has his own room and bed. He loves it and I can already tell a big difference in him and his attitude. I still debating on whether or not that's a good thing! :) Next he will be going potty on the toilet. WISH ME LUCK!!!

Simplot/RSN Softball

Carl taking it home once again

Carl and I have been playing on a co-ed softball team for a few months now and we are finally dwindling down to the last games. Tournaments actually start next week. As most know Carl is a natural at about anything he does. He's been playing softball for a while and is absolutely amazing. I love watching him play, it makes me feel like we just met and I'm checking him out like a school girl. Everything about him makes me gitty! Me on the other hand has had a tough time getting into it. I never played growing up and it's taken me a while to get into it. I know I have the record for most strike outs, but for the most part I have a good time and even get a good hit once in a while. Our team has won about 5 out of 20 times, so we are on the bottom of the totum pole, but we for the most part have a great time with our friends. It's been nice to switch babysitting with Tara. They've been so good to always babysit twice a week and Carson always asks when he can go again. THANKS TARA!

As Johanna has said, playing softball is one of the most stressful times of the week, so sorry about the pics, I will do better next time!

YELLOWSTONE

As you can see we were all given a specific color for each family to wear. For the record, Carl is the one who decided to be pink and man was it the most coveted color there. :)

Carson loved hanging out with all of his cousins.
WHAT A CUTE FAMILY

We had the opportunity to spend the week with my family in West Yellowstone. We had an awesome time. One day Dad gave us all a tour of the park and the highlights. My dad has some of the most amazing stories about running into bears, fishing, camping, and we just ate it up. It was fun to be with him again. This was the second time that Carl and been through so it's always exciting seeing something that you've seen so many times through someone elses eyes for the first time. It was kinda fun to run around the park with our 'colorful' reunion shirts. We definately got a lot of attention, which is not always our goal but always accomplished.
