What a perfect Day!

I pretty sure I just coudln't ask for more! It was such a great day! We were asked to clean the church today, so we woke up early to attend to our bi-yearly duty and find out that the bathrooms were already cleaned a couple of days earlier. SWEET, we don't have to clean the bathrooms! A little too late for me since I was just about the sweep and mop the last ones. So to a perfect start we work hard for 2 hours and get it all done. We return home for a quick clothes change and head back for a baptism. We have lived in Winnemucca for almost 3 years and have been to more baptisms here than in just about every other place I have ever lived. The Lord's work is alive and well in Winnemucca. I love going to baptisms. What a great reminder of my Savior's love for me and all of us. He has so much for us if we just accept it. Although I didn't know the one being baptized very well, I knew his mother and am so excited for her and her upcoming trip to temple for the first time.

After the baptism we changed again and went to the park for some good family, community picnic in the park. We had so much fun! There were bouse houses, hotdogs, kettle corn, icecream, friends, and great times! My kids love bouse houses! It was just so fun to sit and watch Carson racing through this long house. Oh, I love my kids. You can see the excitement in his face and especially is his skip! Cami and Kara loved to watch all the kids come sliding down.

Then we came home to lots of yard work. Carl fixed a broken sprinkler, mowed our lawn, and cleaned up the yard. I remember Dad always saying that working together was the best time for him. I don't know if I always agreed, until now! I love working with my family and getting things done. What a blast!

Well I better go have popcorn movie night we my awesome family!! GREAT DAY!

April Showers Bring May Flowers

What a crazy rainy day. In Nevada they say if you don't like the weather wait a half hour, it will change. Not today. We woke up with a drift of snow and the precipitation hasn't stopped. I can't say that I hate it, but it does make for an inside day, which aren't always my favorite but can make for a relaxing day. Since I finally got some time, I thought I would post some pictures from last Saturday's work day. Carl was very productive. Got the water turned on and the sprinklers up and going, except for the one that needs to be replaced. He made a ladder for our trampoline, and even had time to play basketball. Our garden is already showing signs of life as the seedlings bust through the soil. Carson checks it every day!

Spring is in the air

Well spring is here and so is the Spring cleaning. We spent Saturday cleaning out the shed, repairing the trampline, planting the garden, and starting up the old BBQ. It was a busy day but well worth the work. I love spring cleaning. I get to take everything out and get rid of things I haven't used in a while to make room for the new stuff (when it comes).

Last year Carl emptied the oil in our lawn mower to clean it up and told me specifically to not start it up. Well, I got impatient and decided to mow the lawn myself. I didn't get to far when it starting smoking up and burnt out the engine. After which I remember Carl telling me not to start it up. OUCH!!! Despite my stupidity, Our Heavenly Father is still blessing us and while Carl was getting rid of a truck load of stuff to Poke n Peek, someone was also getting rid of a lawn mower that sputtered a bit. Nothing Carl can't fix. We are so blessed.

CUTE KIDS!

Snow Day

There is just something about snow that makes me want to stay home, call off all appointments, make snowmen, have snowball fights, drink hot cocoa, and snuggle up in front of the fire and call it day. I'm not the only one that feels that way. Carson has strongly taken on these ideals and I love it. Making a snowman and drinking hot cocoa is just what you do on a day like we had last week. My kids love to be outside with or without snow. It's just the place to be. I love our backyard! We have the best swings that are in constant use, and thanks to the Worthlins (our great friends who moved away and we miss dearly) we now have a trampoline. I am at a point in my life where I have simple desires. All I really want is my husband home and all of us playing together inside or out just being together. We have such a great time when it happens. We have this tradition that we accomplish about twice a month where we take a Sunday afternoon stroll with Cami and Connor in the double stoller and Carson riding his bike. It is heaven on earth! Got to be one of the best things we do together! I am so incredibly grateful for my husband who just makes life so worth living and my kids that make it so fun! We've been very blessed lately and I can't help but shout it out on my blog.

Life Goes On!

Despite the tough times Life Goes On! We have had such a great couple months with family visiting, Connor's Blessing, Cami potty training, warm winter days, Carson carrying on adult like conversations, and the olympics!
