Great Outdoors #2

We hadn't been camping with just our own cute little family, so we decided it was about time. I packed everything up and we headed out to look for a camping spot. We went up water canyon and found the perfect spot on the very top. It's no Montana, but it's not bad considering we are in Nevada. We roasted up some hot dogs and had the traditional smores for dessert. It was nice to just sit and relax under the stars with Carl and catch up on world events. Carl couldn't believe that we were out on a night of Olympic events.

Needless to say (due to the picture below), it was a bit of a rough night getting very little sleep, but we survived. Isn't that what camping is all about?
Cami woke us up bright and early, she was ready to go hiking already. She was seriously a happy camper!!!

Can you blame her with a good breakfast like pancakes, eggs, and BACON. She loves it!
So we started our hike up the, um hill, to see if we could find this water fall that everyone was talking about. We took some breaks, and hiked about 2-3 miles up and could not find any water fall, we finally gave up, which really is not in our nature, but it got to be a long hike when we were carrying both of the kids by the time we made it half way up. We did see some "wild life", some lizards!
Thanks to Carson's good friend Jexton, he now likes to color code and organize every toy he plays with, even his tools!!! This morning after getting his tools together, he said I needed to take a picture of it. "Mom, take a picture!" I guess he is used to me capturing his every move. I'm glad he is used to it, Carl on the other hand needs a little more time.
